Today’s Care+

Today’s Care+ — When you need a little extra TRUE Care.

Please note: Today’s Care+ is not accepting patients new to Wilmington Health. We do recommend new patients seeking urgent care to utilize our other convenient locations and their associated wait times are listed here.

As a Wilmington Health established primary care patient, you have access to the innovative Today’s Care+ clinic. Today’s Care+ offers advanced services and emergency care for patients who have established care with Wilmington Health primary care.

With access to advanced imaging and enhanced lab services, our Emergency-Medicine-trained providers can diagnose and treat many health issues and keep you out of the hospital. Plus, if you need specialty care, you have access to more than 30 specialties with Wilmington Health’s team of providers. Available daytime hours and after hours, we’re ready to take care of you.

We can also support you by scheduling a WH Anywhere, Virtual Visit (video call with our doctors)! Please call into our office today at 910-341-3400 to inquire about appointment options, as most can be conducted via a Virtual Visit.

If you are experiencing a fever and respiratory symptoms, please call 910-341-3400 before you leave home, so we can assess your symptoms and determine the best next steps to help you.  We are currently preparing to provide telehealth video visits and drive-up testing to protect but continue to serve our community. These visits and testing sites will be shared with patients upon the pre-screening process by calling 910-341-3400. We continue to be committed to using collaborative, evidence-based medicine in providing the highest quality of care to you and our community.

Urgent Care sees patients with a wide range of illnesses and injuries. We see everything from colds, minor scrapes, and bruises to potentially life-threatening conditions.

  • We take all patients seriously. However, the severity of other patients’ conditions may affect your wait time.
  • Our front desk staff is trained to recognize serious symptoms, so patients with issues like bleeding, chest pains, or uncontrolled vomiting will likely be taken before patients with sinus problems.
  • Wait times are hard to predict based on the diversity of cases we see and because we operate on a walk-in basis, but we try to keep our front desk up to date with a best estimate.
  • Please understand there are multiple providers at this office, some with scheduled appointments, so it may seem that some patients are taken “out of turn.” If you have concerns, please speak with the receptionist.

It is our aim to make your visit as pleasant as possible.

Today’s Care

TRUE Care today and every day.

Today’s Care is here to treat your non-emergency needs such as UTI’s, allergies, infections, minor injuries, and cuts, as well as sprains and pains. We can also coordinate appropriate imaging at one of our radiology locations if necessary, as well as emergent referrals to specialists. The Today’s Care team is available for your healthcare needs. You may call or walk in without an appointment.

The Today’s Care team is available for your healthcare needs, and through our Electronic Medical Record system, we can ensure your regular healthcare provider has access to your visit notes to provide the best possible comprehensive care.

Today’s Care is a more affordable option and is billed the same as a traditional doctor’s visit.

ALL LOCATIONS ARE OPEN DAILY.
