Biography
Aarika Turner, NP graduated from South University in Savannah, Georgia with a Master of Science in Nursing in their Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Aarika has served in emergency medicine her entire career. She prides herself on her strong communication skills with her patients and her abilities to be dynamic, highly organized, and proficient in emergency settings.
Aarika is passionate about providing high-level patient care that is comprehensive and most importantly effective. Aarika is passionate about patient-centered care that includes shared decision making, supporting patients in having a better understanding of their health, so that they have an opportunity to be more involved in health care decisions. She has found that this understanding supports patients’ overall well-being and satisfaction.
Aarika is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and she has an NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
Aarika enjoys Wilmington, as it is very family-oriented and offers many educational and leisure activities for her son and daughter. She very much enjoys time with her family and best friend who also lives in Wilmington, and they enjoy doing activities together like camping, sports, and time at the beach.
