“Wilmington Health has been a staple in our community since 1971, and we value our local community, businesses, and schools. We are honored to provide high-quality care to UNCW’s talented and valued athletes,” stated Jeff James, CEO of Wilmington Health.  Michael Oblinger, UNCW’s Athletics Director replicated this sentiment stating, “Wilmington Health is our community’s trusted  healthcare partner, and we trust that they will care for our athletes and foster growth and success of our athletics programs.”

“Since my arrival, the enhancement of the student-athlete experience has been at the forefront of my activities,” said Oblinger.  “We’re excited to see Wilmington Health step up and partner with us through this pledged support as we work towards that goal.”

UNCW and Wilmington Health’s partnership is a testament to their shared commitment to the welfare of student-athletes and this community, and it marks the beginning of a new era in collegiate sports medicine and performance support for the university.
