Biography
Wendy Rakestraw, MSN, BSN, APRN, CNM graduated from Frontier Nursing University with a Master of Science in Nursing. She was later Board Certified as a Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board. Wendy has 5+ years of experience in midwifery and 12+ years of experience in women’s health/obstetrics. She has attended specialized Perinatal Mental Health Training as well. She
has spent her career bringing joy and new life into the world.
When she is not doing this, you can find her enjoying the great outdoors with her loving family— husband Kenny and their two daughters, Sophie and Aria. Whether hiking through the mountains, or soon, walking along the coast, they love exploring nature together. As they prepare to trade in the Tennessee mountains for the sun-kissed shores of Wilmington.
Wendy looks forward to new adventures and inspiration for her passions—reading and painting.
With a heart full of love and spirit, she is excited for this new chapter of her life.
