Wendy Rakestraw, MSN, CNM believes women’s healthcare should feel less intimidating and more like a conversation, one where you’re heard, respected, and never rushed through the moments that matter most.
A graduate of Frontier Nursing University and board-certified through the American Midwifery Certification Board. Wendy provides thoughtful, evidence-based care for patients in every stage of life. From pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care to annual exams, birth control counseling, and preventive health, Wendy cares for patients whether they’re growing their families or simply taking care of themselves. Her approach is simple: listen first, explain clearly, and walk alongside her patients every step of the way.
Known for her calm, steady presence, Wendy supports physiologic birth while remaining highly skilled in managing the unexpected. She blends respect for the natural process of birth with a deep commitment to safety, so patients feel both empowered and secure.
With additional training in perinatal mental health, Wendy believes emotional well-being is just as important as physical health. She is passionate about creating a space where patients feel comfortable asking questions, voicing concerns, and truly being themselves.
Outside of work, Wendy can usually be found chasing sunshine with her husband, Kenny, and their two daughters, Sophie and Aria, whether that’s exploring the mountains or soaking up time along the coast. She also enjoys reading, painting, and finding small moments of creativity in everyday life.
