Biography
Dr. Ljung graduated from the School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville. He completed his internship and residency at the University Medical Center, Department of Surgery at East Carolina University. His fellowship was performed at the Health Sciences Center in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Dr. Ljung is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American College of Surgeons, and American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Ljung is married to a local physician. They have two children. Their interests include the outdoors, boating, tennis, and golf. He enjoys music and outdoor activities.
He is committed to caring for others through Operation Rainbow, a national non-profit organization. Annually, he travels with a team to Mexico to perform cleft palate surgeries on children in an underdeveloped rural area.
