Biography

Dr. Rebecca L. Skaret is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Florida International University in Miami, FL. She then completed her internship and residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. She spent a few years working in private practice in Southern California before moving to Wilmington with her family.

As an OB/GYN, Dr. Skaret feels privileged to have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and follow them from adolescence through menopause. She enjoys all aspects of the specialty, with particular interest in contraception management, routine and high-risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Skaret strives to be an advocate for women and to provide patient-centered and evidence-based care with compassion.

Dr. Skaret is married to a Navy Gastroenterologist. They live in Wilmington with their two sons, along with a grumpy Siamese cat and a precocious French bulldog. In their free time, the Skarets enjoy family outings to parks and farmers markets, as well as trying out new restaurants around town.
