Diabetes Awareness Peer Support
If you are living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and/or insulin intolerance, or if you are a friend, spouse, or caregiver of an individual who has diabetes and want to learn more, then this support group is right for you. This group will provide peer support and education for better living in a FUN atmosphere for those individuals battling diabetes. This group meets at 7 p.m. at 1202 Medical Center Drive, Wilmington. Each month, Lower Cape Fear Hospice will host a Caregivers & Coffee session where caregivers can come, share their experiences, encourage each other, learn about valuable resources and receive support. The sessions will be led by hospice staff but will also feature topics selected by the group, including visits from other community organizations. Sessions occur the third Friday of each month from 9-10 a.m. at Phillips LifeCare & Counseling Center, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington.
