Biography

Dr. Joshua Matrachisia graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Matrachisia is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y. He has served as vice president of the International Medical Society, where he helped to support newly placed refugees throughout the United States medical system and educated them on important health topics such as diabetes and hypertension.

Dr. Matrachisia took part in a medical mission trip to Peru, where he supported local physicians in providing medical care to the impoverished Peruvian citizens. He has published several articles covering topics such as pancreatic necrosis, pancreatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma, and digestive diseases.

As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Matrachisia is well-experienced in various GI issues, including inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening, as well as diseases of the esophagus, liver and pancreas.

Dr. Matrachisia enjoys spending free time outdoors at the beach, hiking, and grilling with friends and family.
