Dr. Alston Enz, DO, is a dedicated and compassionate physician with a strong foundation in osteopathic medicine and a commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, SC, following a graduate certificate program and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Promotions from Liberty University.
Most recently, Dr. Enz served as Chief Resident at Novant Health Family Medicine Wilmington, where he led with distinction—fostering collaboration, innovation, and wellness among peers and faculty. He has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as a liaison for the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians and as a representative on patient safety and wellness committees. His clinical focus includes lifestyle and obesity medicine, reflecting his holistic approach to empowering patients through education and practical intervention.
Dr. Enz’s dedication to education and outreach is evident in his many lectures, conference planning contributions, and community presentations promoting health and wellness for all ages. His extensive community service record—from organizing local health fairs and outreach initiatives to participating in global medical immersion experiences—highlights his deep commitment to serving others with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Enz enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife and two boys, swimming in the ocean, road biking, surfing, and running.
