Education: She has received a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Medical Sciences, and Physician Assistant Certification from the University of Denver, Saint Francis University, and Red Rocks Community College.
Experience: She is experienced in caring for patients of all ages and has worked in family medicine, urgent care, and behavioral health for healthcare facilities in Colorado and North Carolina.
Rebecca Wilkins, LPN

Education: Rebecca Wilkins, LPN graduated from James Sprunt Community College in 2019.
Experience: Prior to coming to Wilmington Health, she has worked as a cardiac nurse for 4 years and spent 2 months over the summer working as a missionary nurse in Nicaragua. Rebecca loves the outdoors and serving her community.

Lisa McDowell has been a practicing PA for the last 15 years. She has had a heart for primary care and seeing each patient as an individual with quality of life goals that are personal. Outside of healthcare, you can find Lisa on a ball field cheering on her two boys or at a dance recital supporting her daughter. She and her husband love to play trivia, support local organizations, and enjoy the many fun things that Wilmington has to offer. Lisa is excited to see patients in the Live Oak Bank community!

Carissa M. Miller, MSN, FNP-BC, RN, serves as a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner at Wilmington Health’s Live Oak Bank location, providing comprehensive care to the valued employees of Live Oak Bank. With over a decade of experience spanning primary care, internal medicine, sleep medicine, and urgent care, Carissa brings a diverse clinical background and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to her work. She is passionate about improving access to quality healthcare in workplace settings and ensuring that employees receive timely, personalized support for both acute and chronic conditions.
Carissa holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University, where she was a Rudin Oncology Scholar and Class Representative, and is a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Her career has included both in-person and virtual care roles across the country, with a consistent focus on excellence in service and evidence-based practice. At Live Oak Bank, Carissa is honored to support the health and well-being of the team, contributing to a culture of wellness and productivity through thoughtful, accessible healthcare.
