Tools to Relieve Pain

Interventional pain management focuses on blocking pain, usually with injections. Through interventional pain management, we want to improve your quality of life by providing relief to your pain using minimally invasive treatments. Some of the non-invasive, long-lasting options include:

  • Nerve block – an injection to decrease inflammation or block a pain signal along a specific distribution of nerve
  • Epidural steroid injection – a common method of treating inflammation associated with low back related leg pain, or neck related arm pain
  • Radiofrequency nerve ablation – minimally invasive procedure that destroys the nerve fibers carrying pain signals to the brain
  • Facet joint injection – minimally invasive procedure/injection of medication to numb a facet joint and provide pain relief
  • Botox-A – a purified protein that helps relax overactive and painful muscles, which can be used for the treatment of headaches, TMJ, cervical dystonia, trigger points for muscle spasms, as well as reducing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Neuromodulation – involves direct stimulation of the nervous system with electrical signals
  • Regenerative Medicine for Joints – We provide injections that can be administered on the shoulders, knees, hips, and elbows
  • Vertiflex – A small minimally invasive procedure that helps open the spinal canal at the spinous process. This is an exciting alternative way to treat spinal stenosis for some of our patients who cannot get or do not want a large spine surgery.
  • Relievant – Basilar nerve Radiofrequency ablation that treats vertebrogenic back pain
