Dr McCalmon is a fantastic communicator. He went over my information in a very efficient but understandable manner. Most knowledgeable Endocrinologist I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by. He was fully prepared with my history although this was my initial consultation. I appreciate that. Calling and scheduling was subpar. It was evident the lady did not want to give appointments. But upon check out Antoinette was exceptional and even printed my follow up visits for me. I highly recommend Dr McCalmon!

As always, very courteous, friendly, professional staff. Dr. McCalmon took extra time to explain and help me with some abnormal diabetes stuff, that I wasn't understanding. I leave there with confidence in my type 1 management. Crystal up front is a delight of a person to interact with. Y'all keep up the good work!?? A+. Highly recommend! I normally see Kelly glisson. She is also A+! Always has the latest and greatest diabetes news and updates in the field.

I drive from Jacksonville to Wilmington to see him. It is worth every mile because he takes his time with me and he listens. He asks lots of questions to get a full picture of my situation and does not rush me out the door. He answers my many many questions. He supports taking vitamins and supplements to help my overall health instead of just prescribing more medication. He explains hormone intricacies with simple every day language so that I can understand. I have had Hashimoto’s for over 20 years and he is the first endocrinologist to explain the difference between TSH, T4 and T3 in a way that I could understand for once. Thank you!

Dr. Sean McCalmon takes time with his patients to question the patient and thoroughly listens. Excellent personality and makes good suggestions and/or medication adjustments as he sees fit. Sometimes he adjusts my insulin injection amounts or times, last visit he adjusted my blood pressure medicine as my blood pressure was running a little high.
