Biography
Dr. Lucas Brogden earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Buies Creek, NC and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Novant Health/NHRMC in Wilmington, NC and was awarded the E. Thomas Marshburn Jr Award at the conclusion of his residency, an award that is given to the 3rd year Internal Medicine Resident who best exhibits the outstanding qualities of an internist.
He is passionate about philanthropy and community service, and he has provided medical care to patients in need in Ecuador, Dominican Republic, and other underserved areas. Dr. Brogden is a Wilmington, NC native, and he loves this area and the community, so it was important to him that he stayed here after he completed his residency. Dr. Brogden’s clinical interests include diabetes management, antibiotic stewardship, and assisting with advanced directive planning. Dr. Brogden is dedicated to providing efficient, effective, evidence-based medicine to the patients that he serves.
Dr. Brogden enjoys photography, collecting vinyl records, and spending time with his golden retriever, Emmy.
