Biography

Dr. Adonnino is a highly awarded physician for her excellence in medical student teaching, performance assessment, and collaborative patient care. Dr. Adonnino was one of only seven nominees across the UVA Health System for the Exemplary Resident/Fellow Physician Award. Dr. Adonnino prides herself on providing expert care that is comprehensive and collaborative for the patients and families that she serves. She has enjoyed serving pediatric patients from birth to approaching adulthood.

Dr. Adonnino has completed several research and educational projects in the areas of neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent care. These projects focused on incorporating the most current clinical guidelines into practice in the outpatient setting and improving medical education in residency. She has also given several education talks on topics spanning healthcare costs, wellness, nephrology, emergency medicine, neonatal intensive care, developmental pediatrics, and more.

Dr. Adonnino provides additional services for pediatric patients, including Nexplanon and circumcisions.
