Biography

Dave has served in urgent care and orthopaedic settings for 20+ years, and he enjoys providing patient-centered care to the patients that he serves. Dave has earned expertise across the orthopaedic spectrum including hand/upper extremity conditions, orthopaedic trauma, sports injuries, and joint reconstruction. His variety of experience is leveraged to provide comprehensive care to patients and he enjoys aligning with the orthopaedic surgeons and team to restore patients to better activity and improved quality of life.

Dave enjoys boating, hiking, and skiing with his family. However, most of his time is spent, along with his wife, cheering on their three kids from the sidelines of numerous lacrosse fields, volleyball courts, cross-country courses, and swimming pools across the area and beyond!

Dave Shaw explained what he thought might be wrong with my leg. He told me the problem could be muscular or vascular. I will try physical therapy and also having nerve test ordered by my primary doctor which he would like to see the results. I did not feel rushed, Dave Shaw was very pleasant and informative. I was very satisfied.

Dave is an excellent Ortho Provider...I liked him so much I followed him to Wilmington Health after being disappointed by Emerge Ortho PAs. He is kind, very knowledgeable & listens to you. He gives a GREAT shoulder steroid injection..and knows WHERE to give it, unlike others I tried. I would not go to anyone else he is the best!
