Biography

Courtney Ellis, PA-C is a medical and cosmetic dermatology physician assistant who is community-oriented, which is why she’s passionate about serving patients in her hometown of Wilmington, NC. She enjoys supporting patients through their care journey, collaborating on treatment plans that are best for the patient, and being alongside patients when they see the treatment results. Providing high-quality, evidence-based medicine to the patients that she serves is her mission.

Courtney graduated from Wingate University with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies, and she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physiology from North Carolina State University. For over 8 years, Courtney has provided exceptional dermatology care to the patients that she serves.

I have been a patient with another dermatology practice for 25 years or so and have been increasingly frustrated over the past 2 years and felt less like a patient and more like a business transaction with the level of care and responsiveness decreasing as well. Courtney Ellis, P.A. and the staff at Wilmington Health Dermatology are simply fantastic! They promptly checked me in and my waiting time both in the waiting room and treatment room was minimal, which is surprising for a first time visit. Courtney listened to all of my concerns and history patiently then proceeded to examine my condition. She did not rush the visit and then advised me on her diagnosis along with her prescribed treatment for my condition, which was somewhat different from my previous dermatologist. I was extremely pleased with my visit and the level of care I was provided by Courtney and the entire staff at WH Dermatology. Needless to say, all of my future dermatology care will now be handled by them and their team. Two thumbs up & thank you!
