Heart Failure Clinic, along with cardiology specialist Dr. Craig McCotter, provides treatment options and education for patients at all stages of heart failure, including those newly diagnosed.
Heart failure does not mean the heart has stopped working. Rather, it means the heart’s pumping power is weaker than normal.
Our goal is to improve the patient’s quality of life through early symptom recognition and treatment, diet planning, medication management, and exercise. The center’s staff works closely with patients and their referring cardiologists and primary care physicians to determine the most effective plan of care.
Our Heart Failure providers review symptoms of heart failure and determine treatment options needed for medications, diet, and fluid restrictions with patients and their families during one-on-one clinic visits. The Heart Failure Clinic also uses the latest home monitoring devices and systems to help treat patients, often before severe symptoms develop.
The WH Heart Failure Clinic provides comprehensive care to help manage the patient’s heart failure condition and to control symptoms. The ultimate goal is to keep patients stable and out of the hospital.
