Biography

Erin Zullo, RN, FNP-C, is an experienced nurse practitioner and valued member of the Surgery Team at Wilmington Health. She brings decades of clinical expertise to patient care, with a strong background in breast surgery, breast cancer management, and long-term care medicine. Known for her collaborative approach, reliability, and adaptability, Erin is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of surgical and medical needs.

Erin currently practices in breast surgery, where she conducts comprehensive clinical assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and manages high-risk patients in accordance with NCCN guidelines. She plays an active role in multidisciplinary care, participating in weekly breast cancer conferences and working closely with surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists to optimize outcomes. Trained as a Registered Nurse First Assist, Erin assists in the operating room and provides perioperative care, including wound closure, in-office procedures, post-operative fluid management, and patient education to support safe recovery and long-term wellness.

Erin earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart University, graduating with honors as a magna cum laude graduate. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an Associate of Science in Nursing from St. Vincent’s College, where she also was class valedictorian. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent many years as a critical care nurse, providing advanced care to critically ill medical and surgical patients in ICU and emergency settings. Erin is proficient in the management of post-operative fluid collections in the office. Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Erin is licensed as an APRN and RN and maintains BLS certification, reflecting her continued dedication to clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and compassionate surgical care.

In her free time, Erin enjoys traveling with her family to places such as Venice, Italy, Jamaica, and the Greek Islands. She has two children in college who will graduate soon. Her family enjoys the outdoors, so living by the beach has been wonderful.
