High Insulin Recipient Blood Draw Study – U500 Insulin

Medical Condition: Cushing’s Syndrome

Age: 40 or older

Gender: Male/Female

Description: The purpose of this study is to find out whether patients with high insulin requirements, based on having a prescription of U-500 Insulin, have undiagnosed Cushing Syndrome. Cushing Syndrome is excessive levels of adrenal hormone production in the severely insulin-resistant Diabetes Mellitus (DM) population. This research study may be an option if you:

  • Are currently receiving treatment with concentrated insulin (U500 Insulin)
  • Are willing to have blood drawn

Enrollment: Open

Patient Commitment Duration: Approximately 2 weeks

Number of visits in study: Approximately 3 clinic visits

Patient Compensation: Financial compensation will be provided for time and travel expenses.
