Biography

In 2009, Holly graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, she was a registered nurse of in-patient Hematology/Oncology at Duke University Medical Center. She was also a registered nurse on the Progressive Care Unit at NHRMC. While working as a registered nurse, she returned to school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a Master of Science in Nursing. She has since worked as an Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with Wilmington Health Pulmonary. She loves spending time with her two daughters and husband, and making it to the beach as much as possible.

Holly Smith is the best. Caring, supportive, responsive to my needs, compassionate, and helping me recover my health to enjoy life again. Her fantastic attitude and way with patients is special, and her staff specifically Kelly, are equally great. I am privileged to have Dr. Smith and her staff taking care of me and my family.
