Biography

Alexis Ammons graduated with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2020. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her advanced nursing practitioner training with her MSN in 2012 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2012, where she earlier received her BSN in 2007.

Alexis’s extensive training and career path has prepared her full circle to be a comprehensive primary care provider. Alexis has worked as an advanced practitioner in family medicine, internal medicine-hospitalist, neurosurgery, and cardiology.

Alexis is a Louisiana native and relocated to Wilmington, NC in 2018. She especially loves the people and culture here in Wilmington, saying “It is much like home except with better weather and a beautiful beach”. Alexis is looking forward to creating the most optimal environment for your primary care needs and sustaining lasting relationships for overall health and wellness.
