Robotic Surgery

Wilmington Health surgeons continually look to the cutting edge of medical technology to determine new ways to minimize the invasive nature of surgical procedures. Robotic Surgery is a prime example of that technology and the leadership role that Wilmington Health surgeons are expanding these technologies in our area. With surgical options in the fields of Colorectal, Bariatric (Weight Loss), Urogynecology, and more, learn what minimally invasive procedures Wilmington Health specializes in today.

Advantages of Robotic Surgery include:

  • Lower length of stay
  • Faster recovery time and resumption of regular life activity
  • Minimally invasive surgery vs open surgery
  • Less post-op pain and reduced need for opiates
  • Robotic surgery has the lowest complication rates and readmission rates.
  • Lower infection rates.
  • Highest level of technology available for soft tissue surgery
