Wilmington Health Associates was founded in July 1971 by Pulmonologist Dr. Daniel Gottovi and Cardiologist Dr. Norman Robinson. From its inception, the group emphasized state-of-the-art technical services and high quality personalized healthcare for its patients.

"Do what's right for our patients and everything else will take care of itself."

How to call Wilmington Health

Wilmington Health is serving a growing number of patients, which means our switchboard operators are receiving an increasing number of calls. If the line keeps ringing, it means the operators and receptionists are answering other calls. Please stay on the line rather than hanging up and redialing. Your call is answered in the order it is received.

Our lines are usually busiest on Mondays and Tuesdays, so please allow a little extra time to get through or call on a different day.

Appointments

To schedule an appointment, call your doctor's appointment desk or our main telephone number at (910) 341-3300. The doctor's staff has been instructed to ask you why you need to see the doctor. This allows the staff to schedule the appropriate amount of time for your appointment. Emergencies may sometimes arise that will upset the appointment schedule. If your appointment time is delayed, please feel free to check with the receptionist about reasons for the delay. We try to inform our patients ahead of time if we are aware of delays in the appointment schedule.

Cancellation

If you are unable to keep your appointment, it is very important that you call our office as soon as possible. This is a courtesy to other patients who can be scheduled at that time. We will be glad to help you reschedule your appointment.

Your First Visit

Please plan to arrive at Wilmington Health 15 minutes before your appointment (30 minutes prior if you are having a physical). At the Main Office, our Greeters at the Information Desk are happy to direct you to your doctor. Please bring all medication you currently take in original containers and all information on significant health problems and medication allergies. Please bring any health insurance identification cards and other pertinent insurance information as well. After your initial visit, it is also your responsibility to advise us of any changes to your insurance coverage as well as other important changes such as name, address, telephone numbers, marital status and changes of employment.
