Spinal Intervention

Wilmington Health Spinal Intervention provides minimally invasive treatment for spine- and nerve-related painful conditions. The most frequently treated diseases are: herniated discs, sciatica, arthritis of the spine, narrowing of spinal canal, vertebral fracture, neuropathic or nerve pain in hands and legs, post-herpes neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, refractory pelvic pain, back or leg pain after back surgery, vascular diseases related pain, phantom limb pain, and terminal cancer pain.

We recognize the negative impact of these conditions on your daily life. We care. A work-up including proper imaging, muscle and nerve conduction study, and urine drug screen will be performed to help establish a diagnosis. A sound diagnosis helps us devise an appropriate treatment plan.

We excel in minimally invasive spinal procedures. These treatments usually take 10-30 minutes, thus offering convenience and minimizing interruption of your daily schedule. You can either go home or go back to work afterward. The most frequently performed procedures include: back and neck epidural steroid injections, spine joint injections, spinal median nerve denervation, spinal cord stimulator for nerve pain, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty for vertebral fracture, celiac plexus block, foramen ovale injection, and ganglion impar block. We will adjust the procedure for your specific disease.

Our department provides on-site diagnostic and treatment facilities. We offer in-office surgical and procedural areas to maximize your comfort while providing the best quality care possible. We offer recommendations for medication management and provide minimal medication service.

Our trained staff is board certified/eligible with access to the most comprehensive team of physicians in the area.

Spinal Intervention is located on our main campus and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
